Welcome to Merry Mountain Morgans!
We call the North Cascade Mountains our home. Situated about 11 miles west of the cozy mountain town of Fernhollow, our stable prides itself on raising champion Morgan horses that have been trained in challenging climate and terrain.
The versatile Morgans raised at Merry Mountain can be used for western work, English showing, pleasure, driving, and low-level eventing and endurance. Our Morgans have more stamina than most due to the altitude and rocky lands they train on, and have a calm, intelligent demeanor that can respond “in the moment” without the direction of the rider. Because of this, we choose to compete our own Morgans in cross-country events.
Our retired horses serve as trail horses for tourists during the busy summer months, and they’re the smartest, steadiest mounts you can find in the Cascades - great for even first-time riders.
