Beau is the heir and manager of Buckthorn Farms. A farm girl born and raised, she’s now taking charge of farm operations and modernizing them - in addition to adding horses and encouraging the preservation of agricultural traditions.

David is Beau’s father, and ran the farm for several years after the death of his wife, Cara Thorne. Although he’s passed the farm’s management on to Beau, he’s still actively involved in its operations, particular in accounting.

Ramon was formerly a migrant worker helping with harvests on Buckthorn Farms, but took up permanent residence on the farm shortly after Cara’s death. While Ramon primarily focuses on the farming operations, he’s also a skilled rider and rancher with his trusty Appaloosa, Rubí.

“Nikki” was hired to help train Buckthorn Farms’ driving horses. With training in classical equestrian driving and showing, Nikki brings over a decade of expertise to the growing stable. She also brought Brave Heart, her young Hackney Pony and assistant instructor.
